RV park open

Wife and I found a small park open about 15 miles from the house today. Was about half full. Thinking of getting out over the weekend. Was nice to find something still open around here.

The lake that we keep our boat on also has a state park which has been open for camping. We where going to go there just to get away and sit around a campfire. But they just closed it.

I know it is boring to stay home, but why not stay home and be safe.

Fifteen miles away? What would you do there that you can't do at home?
Why sit in your RV? Why add to the campground. People should be staying home!!

I understand it's close by and no biggee, but what happens if you break down or have an accident. How you're involving at least a two truck driver and possibly police and and another driver. Just go camp in your motor hoe at your house.

For sure, for sure! The chance of having something go wrong by going is definitely higher than staying at home. A person doing this for fun may also be taking up space for someone that really needs a spot.

If enough people find out about this they will be shamed into closing. They could be following every protocol imaginable and it just doesn't matter. We've lost our minds. It's possible not one person has gotten the virus from a contaminated surface.

By the way on the CDC site today;
COVID-19 spreads mainly among people who are in close contact (within about 6 feet) for a prolonged period. Spread happens when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks, and droplets from their mouth or nose are launched into the air and land in the mouths or noses of people nearby.

About half way down the second page is info on campgrounds.

https://www.in.gov/gov/3232.htm

Why can't people just do the right thing.

lol I considered driving 5 hours sleeping in a Walmart parking lot and driving home. For those that say just stay home get a grip it isn't the Zombie Apocalypse and I don't plan on interacting with any humans. I have masks and am not high risk.

That order here in Indiana was the first thing I thought of when I started to read this thread.

I can't find it now, but I read somewhere that the governor added to CG's to the list for this very reason. He was trying to leave them open to let people get home, but saw where crowds were going up on the weekends.

AND people on this forum wonder why states are shutting down CG's...

What part of STAY AT HOME did you not understand.

It is totally ok that you may not care about your health or the health of your family. But stay home to protect the rest of us that have no home to return to.

I think it's sad that we suggest that anyone doesn't care about their family members. There are other conclusion that you could come to. For example in the only study of this exact virus that I know of;

Dr. Hendrik Streeck studied the surfaces in the home of a family that was all infected with Covid-19. His team could not find the virus on any surface including phones, etc.

This study first began March 31 - it's just beginning. He reached his initial thought on going to one home.
