I remember seeing past posts/info that showed a satellite view of RV parks but can't remember if it was google, microsoft, etc. I want to be able to put an address in and come up with an aerial view of the site. Anyone remember which websites do this?

Google Earth works well for satellite views, and it has a search feature. But I find it is slow to load on our 3-year old computer. After all, it is the entire earth.
Google Maps seems to be faster. It's kind of like Google Earth "lite." It starts with a map of the U. S. and you click on an area or search for a business name of address from there. It will first zoom to a map of the area in question so you can be sure you're in the right neighborhood. Then you can switch to the satellite view and zoom in more if you want to. It's the satellite views that take a long time for our computer to load.

JC2, also take a look at Yahoo Maps . They are like Google Maps except seem to have more up to date satellite images. That's based on a comparison of Perdido Cove RV Resort and my house here in Pensacola. Google may get in a little closer, but their images are still showing the 2005 blue roofs from Hurricane Ivan in 2004. The Yahoo satellite images do not and show the Perdido Cove RV Resort where Google shows the empty lot where it has been built.

historyljc, thanks for the link to Yahoo Maps. I wasn't aware they had the satellite views, too. It also looks like a good source for satellite photos.
I think the age of the maps varies by what area of the country it is. The maps are a mosaic of different satellite photos. Some photos are newer on Google and some are newer on Yahoo. Some photos have leaves on the trees and were obviously taken in summer while there are no leaves on the trees in other areas.
Yahoo Maps shows our travel trailer in the driveway of our old house. We got rid of the trailer and bought our motorhome early in 2005. Google maps shows our motorhome in the driveway. Yet both Yahoo and Google both show construction only a few miles away that wasn't completed until 2006 or 2007.

That's totally dependent on the area. I looked up where we used to live in Quartzsite and the Yahoo Maps showed an almost empty subdivision while the Google Maps showed in pretty much filled in. I'd say use both to see which one is better for the particular location you're looking at.

I think y'all are right. I just did a quick comparison on a couple of the local spots that I am familiar with and on those Yahoo was more up to date. But I realize that both update pieces at the time. That's why I keep both bookmarked and cross check if needed.

I checked my address and yahoo is from 2004, google is from 2003. Of course I live 11 miles from the nearest town, so that might for the account for the delay.

Microsoft Streets and trips via the edit menu will bring up Microsoft Live displaying the location you have currently selected. The Combo Satelite and BirdsEye views have been quite helpful to me.
