Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

I'm not a fan of RV warranties so can't comment on that company. Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Giants, I sent you a private message.

Dealers selling extended warranties is a huge huge profit center for them and they push like heck to tack them on to a purchase.

I've bought 4 RV trailers from 4 different dealers and only one mentioned an extended warranty. As soon as they mentioned it I said "Not interested" and they went on the the next topic.
Back when I was riding MC's I bought a few and got to be friends with the finance guy. He would always mention them but after I said no he'd drop the price more and more. It was obvious that they make money off them.

National RV Care is part of National Auto Care Corp. They have a 1 star rating from customer reviews on BBB site.
Any extended warranty(service contract) is a bet against future costs. Many people do okay with the bet and come out ahead but many do not. I would explore multiple companies before purchasing one and read the coverage brochure carefully before purchase. It all comes down to how comfortable you are with risk. It is after all just another insurance policy.
One thing for sure do not roll it into the purchase finance agreement because then you are paying interest on it, Buy the policy outright or maybe on a no interest time plan. By breaking it out separately you can also cancel it easier if you decide later to do so.

Two questions here...
  1. Should you buy an extended warranty?
  2. If so, which one?
Financially any extended warranty (repair insurance) is a gamble, betting on the possibility of high future repair costs. Like any insurance, you only come out ahead if you have more than average repair needs. Sales people will try to convince you that major repairs are highly likely, scaring you into buying their product.

If you decide you want a repair insurance policy, shop around. Odds are you can get more coverage for less cost from some source other than the dealer. They get a substantial commission for selling those policies. Try a broker such as Wholesale Warranties, or Good Sam or America's RV Warranties.

Thank you all for clarification on a most confusing issue. After a few days of research, we will be going with America's RV warranty. They are extremely cost effective, comparatively. What you all had indicated with dealers and what they offer is so true! We will pick up our 2017 Breeze this week.
We got a representative on the phone line (he was the one that picked up the call ... amazing!) and he was absolutely not trying to sell the policy. He was educating us on what was the best way to use the policy. Instead of turning your motorhome for a 3-week stay, have a mobile repairman come to your home! These repairmen are more accomplished and experienced rv repairmen than going through the large service centers (where they have inexperienced folks that are breaking out the manual to to figure out what to do).
The price for coverage was half of what the dealer was quoting. Wow! America's RV warranty man did not even recommend his roadside assistance program; he said to continue to use the program I have with Progressive. WOW.
