One trick to cleaning polishing Stainless steel sinks is to scrub with the "grain."

Baking Soda.... cleans every thing (like my SS bathroom sink and my porceline cast iron kitchen sink) and it's CHEAP. For hard water stain, add a little white vinegar. Freshens the sink drain when you rinse out the sink. Also, when baking soda is combined with hair shampoo or a good grease cutting dish detergent, it makes a very gentle hand cleaner similar to "GoJo" without the weird smell GoJo has.

I once bought a spray can of SST sink cleaner/polish. While it did brighten the metal a lot, it also left an oily film on the metal. DW did not like that oily feel, so, I went back to the same thing LMHS uses, baking soda with just enough water to make a creamy-like consistency.
