The Salem Oregon Spring RV Show starts this Thursday. Since I have been suffering from the winter doldrums I have been eagerly awaiting the show. Tonight I see on TV where the show has been combined with the annual spring Mobil home show. One ticket gets you admission to both. We have always attended both shows but never on the same weekend. Must be a sign of the times. Suspect I should not expect too much from either show.

Attended the show today. We even went over and checked out some of the mobile homes that looked interesting. It worked out to be a win win situation. There was a definite lack of 09 motorhomes available to see but the discounts on the 08s were deep. I was surprised at the number of people at the show for a weekday afternoon. Don't know if that is just because of the winter doldrums or if people were were really shopping. Talked to one of our favorite sales people that said they had sold 3 motorhomes since yesterday and that that was better than they had expected.

I've gone to the Salem one a couple times.

The one at the Portland expo center usually pretty good.

By the time you fight the traffic, pay for the parking then the entrance fees the Portland show is just not worth it for me at least.

Actually if I heard the ads right the Portland Oregon RV show is this weekend. As I said before I refuse to pay the parking and high entrance prices so I will be skipping this show.

Yeah, I know what you mean about parking and admission.

For me, though, I'm quite a bit closer to Portland, and being indoors has its advantages if the weather is bad.

Anyhow, I think I'm pretty much done shopping for RV stuff for a while.
