Sam's isn't "Quilted", but it has flowers pressed into it to kinda, sorta, give it the quilted look and feel.

I test by placing two sheets in a tall water glass, wait 15 minutes and agitate, if it doesn't disolve, don't use.

Scotts products will disolve almost instantly.

Don't know about Sams, but COSTCO brand never disolved.

Ok folks, here's the scoop on Sam's Club TP. As instructed, I placed two sheets of it into a tumbler and let it sit for 15 minutes. I then shook the tumbler three times, and the TP was completely dissolved, so I'm happy to say it passed the RV test.

It's going in the motorhome!

What not to use

We will no longer be using the same stuff we've been using in the stick house. We never had a problem before, but that was a different RV. This one seems to be a little pickier about what goes in the tank.

How do I know this? A clog in the toilet that I had to clear 'by hand', then another clog in the drain that required clearing.

Very unpleasant! I don't want to do this again. EVER! I'll be doing the dissolve test for sure.

I guess we've been "lucky" then as every rig I've had since 1958 (that had a toilet in it) I've never had a problem with and I've just used whatever we've had in the stick house. But then I don't empty the tank till it's pretty full and I use a good dose of chemicals too.

The 1957 rig was a rental and it just had a pull out plywood "seat" and a plastic bag under it.

A helping of my wife's famous bean dip should do that for me!

We buy POM from Sams for use at our S&B because it's cheap but not "sand paper" cheap. I'll need to do the test with it when I get home. I did put some in a glass of water and instantly shook the glass so it was spinning and it started breaking up, so I have high hopes.

I want to do everything I can to avoid the need to unclog by hand.....

I put a sheet of over-priced one ply RV TP and a one ply sheet of Member's Mark(Sam's) two ply TP in two cups of water. An hour later, I forgot which was which, but when I stirred them up, you couldn't tell the difference.

12 years using Sam's TP without any problems.
