I agree. I used Flexseal on a basement leak on my previous motorhome. Lasted about 18 months and then started to leak again. And that was under the motorhome, in the dark, with no sunlight.
Forget about using Flexseal on a roof, won't hold up.

On topic, I had the exact same leak. Drive me nuts for a while. Sealed and resealed that skylight. (With my non-Dicor sealant.) I even did a pressure check where I used a big fan sealed to the door to "inflate" the coach. Found some tiny leaks that way with soapy water but the skylight one still eluded me. Then one day I was up there staring at it and wondered how flexible it was. Pushed the dome gently with my hand and found that despite its age it seemed pretty decent and bowed in quite a bit. Glanced to the side and a crack towards one edge jumped out at me. I immediately put a good smear of sealer on it. I could not WAIT for the next heavy rain so I could check it out. The weather soon obliged. Leak fixed! The actual replacement of the skylight is on my list for next year.

Does anyone know how thick the roof is on the 2002 Windsor? I'm getting ready to go buy the screws and want to be sure they are long enough without having a lot sticking through into the attic space. Thanks!

I measured mine at the front A/C and got 5 1/4 “ from foam seal to ceiling material.
Not likely the answer you wanted but I would likely go with a 1” screw.
You have a ceiling thread going?
Good luck and stay safe.

Hi Terry! I'm trying to find out the thickness of the wood layer directly below the fiberglass roof and on top of the ceiling joists. Thanks!

I used #10 X 1 1/4" drill point screws.
Mine has a aluminum frame that the screws go into.

Hello Joe,
Looked at mine again. Can’t get a solid measurement but it looks like a 3/8” plywood on top of rafters. Checked with tape measure and caliper’s and that measurement seems right.
Plus of course your fibreglass roof. Which doesn’t look very thick at air conditioner cutout.
Say Hi to Annette

How to remove EternaBond tape?
What are your suggestions for removing 4" EternaBond tape? Man, that stuff is TOUGH!
Never mind, I should have Googled it before asking! I see the recommended way is with a heat gun! Thanks anyway!

We just did and the results were startling. I think it ran about $250, they found leaks we were unaware of. We knew we had a leak near the ladder and the skylight. They are going to strip all the previous sealant, reseal it and then everything will be guaranteed.

Seal tech sounds like a great idea didn't know they did that for RVs. It's been standard practice on aircraft for years. Think I will try it as "insurance" and maybe even solve some air leak noises. Now just to find a place "near" us.

Good luck with that! The nearest shop that has the equipment was 3 hours away from us!
