Seat covers for 2012 Fleetwood Southwind
I have a 2012 Fleetwood Southwind 32vs. The driver and passenger seats are both peeling, its faux leather. I heard this is a common problem with these types of seats. Has anyone found a decent seat cover for these seats that actually fit correctly? I got a pair from camping world and they don't fit or have the opening for the power seat controls on the sides. I wwound up sending those back. I even contacted Fleetwood and flexsteel and had no luck other than purchasing new chairs.
Thanks,
Brodman

There are no custom-fit aftermarket covers for those - the market is simply too small to make it practical. If you want quality, good fitting covers, have them custom-made.
I realize that Flextseel is not doing warranty coverage for your problem, but did Flexsteel say that replacement upholstery is not available for purchase through a Flexsteel dealer? They used to do that, at least as long as the seat remained in production. However, I've noticed that RV furnishings dealers no longer seem interested in the repair & replace side of the business. Even RV specialists like Bradd & Hall seem only to want to sell new stuff...

Get into the Fleetwood Owners forum. There has been several post there. Shara H (?), a mod here, has a very good write up about doing this with covers from FlexSTEAL. Not cheap but she was happy with them. Hope she will see this thread and point you to it.
I'll try to look but right now I gotta run.

We have covered the bad spots with good looking tapestry fabric. Attached with the fabric screws, clear plastic top with metal spirals.

Sheep Skin Covers
I purchased sheep skin covers for my Vista chairs from Blondie's Pit Shop of Durango via amazon. The pair arrived and I thought them to be too big and because they were quite expensive I was somewhat unhappy. After working with the covers and tucking here and there I found them to be OK and am quite happy. I looked for a long time and settled with these.

One of my passionate hobbies is restoring vehicles. Find a nearby automotive upholstery shop. You might be surprised at what you find for cost to recover. If nothing else, to get some fitted pull overs made. Trust me, a legitimate upholstery shop needs no patterns! If there's anything you don't like about the seat fit, they can also sculpt new foam however you like, make it stiffer, more plush, whatever. Best part, true automotive grade materials and not the bonded leather junk of the camper industry!

Thank you for all of the suggestions. I have talked to a person who re upholstery boats. I was told he would be able to reupholster the seats for me. Great ideas!
