Security Cameras - Blink Cameras - My experience

I have a 40' class A DP, Phaeton, Black & Grey (Nasa) paint job
I've wanted to add security cameras but didn't want cameras that are noticeable or stick out far from the side, so I've kept my eyes open
I recently bought a bundle of Blink cameras
The black color matches/blends in with the rig
The mount is very tight against the side
The are wide vs long shaped so again don't stick out far
I have them tied to my Winegard Connect 2 router (TOGO)
I plan to leave them in place when I travel & see if they stay.
They have a sync module for local storage and control
I didn't realize but they are Amazon, so they work with the FireTV and Fire tablet, so I can display them on my TV if I wish via Alexa commands
They record on motion or I can trigger live view
The inside camera can monitor my dog
I'm pretty pleased with them.

The talk feature will certainly startle passers by.

We use them at the house and only because they are battery operated hence easy to install and move.

They do work fine as security cameras but do have a few seconds lag time and probably a 20 foot activation range.

They also activate when our garbage trucks stop by due to noise.

Of course, when they sense an event, they will send a message to your phone. Even at 1:30 am....

I would think they would be good when the MH is unattended, though the last video they record could be of the thief quickly removing the entire camera......

We use Blink XT2's to keep an eye n the interior temperature and the doggies.

We have two of them at the house, one at the front door one at the back. I like them and plan on mounting them on the motorhome when we go full time next month.

The motion detection can deliver a lot of false positives, but you can tune the sensitivity and even select areas of view that the motion detector will ignore.

How did you do that? I have the Winegard Connect 2 in my coach but do not use the TOGO. Will these still work as standalone? How would I access them?With my smartphone?

I have had my 5 camera Blink home security set up for a a while and love it. Yes, they are a tad sensitive but the wide angle views work very well. However, I cannot imagine mounting them to the outside of a motorhome. They pop on and off of their mounts without much effort and I think rolling down the road they will tend to disappear unless you can improve substantially on the mounts.

The customer service from Blink has been off the chart. Per their request I reviewed their system on line shortly after setting it up. While I love the system I was a bit disappointed in quality of the longer views of my back yard and so stated. A couple of days later i got a call from the head of the company who said he thought all I needed was a couple more cameras {I started with 4} and he sent me two more for free!

I added one and he was correct, adding the extra camera gave a much better look at the large back yard. Not really needing a sixth camera I payed it forward gifting the extra to my best friend. Blink was quickly bought out by Amazon after just a couple of years in business which speaks volumes as to the quality of their product and customer service.
