in choosing a used TT; retiring in January on fixed income so need financial prudence...
choice between 2008 25RLS Prowler at 23,500 (Cdn) versus a 2006 Arctic Fox 28 Silver Fox at 28,900 (Cdn). The prowler has a 3 year remaining extended warranty and both are private sales so I avoid tax here in BC.
Would appreciate your thoughts on choice re year and quality, price, reliability given year of manufacture and what price you would think they're worth?
I have zero experience so your advice is priceless!

2006 Arctic Fox 28 Silver Fox (The best choice) Solid Fiberglass sides is the most obvious reason. I was checking the N.A.D.A. but it's offline.

If both units are within your financial capabilities, buy the one that suits you and yours best. Such things as floorplan, amount of storage, decor, furniture color, etc all should be considered.
That being said, based on my expierience, and the reputation of the manufacturer, I would choose the Arctic Fox in a heartbeat.
I would not put too much value in an extended warranty. The Fox is new enough, that should you desire an extended warranty, you can always purchase one.
These are just my opinions, yours may vary from mine, I hope you do consider more than just the difference in prices between the two units.

What every you choose, look it over carefully. Look for water damage in the interior, look at the roof to see how it has been maintained. Look at the sides, specifically over the doors and windows, looking for delaminations and bulges.

Look very carefully for any water damage signs. Take a flashlight and pull drawers and check in the backs of cabinets.

Wit h that said, I think the Arctic Fox is a much better built trailer than the Fleetwood Prowler.

If you are not experienced, hire a private 3rd party inspector to go over the RV and get a full report. make sure all of the systems and appliances work.

All of the member advice has been invaluable to a newbie like me! I've taken a look at the '08 Prowler and have purchased that one with (your advice) the condition of a satisfactory inspection by someone I found who has been in the business for 25 years. Equalizer hitch thrown in.
After looking for about 4 months, I actually found a truck yesterday as well, again with your advice to go heavier that what is needed. An '07 GMC 2500HD crew cab with the duramax 6.6.litre diesel and Allison transmission. At 13 k towing capacity I should have no problem!
