I have been using Sam's Club Members Mark toilet paper for years with no issues.

I use Sams Angle Soft copy ..It works fine for my porcelain flapper potty in MH.Dude did about best video testing I could think of. Walmart Great Value was "best choice" for real fast break up/cost/strength/doing its job lol. Test leaned toward most RV friendly quick break up. If someone had an issue with macreator potty or pump discharge. I would use great value or put out for maybe a group of visitors that may use too much. I have regular Scotts for my portapotty in cuddy cabin boat, will pick up Great Value when its gone just for that.

RVs don't have septic tanks or septic systems.

We used nothing but (ha ha) septic safe TP for over 20 years (10 years full time) and never an issue.

Just don't throw in any "flushable wipes" or paper towels. They will give you grief.

Septic Safe Vs Standard RV Toilet Paper

We've never had any problems-we bag the paper in can with lid.
-Paper takes up room.

-No additional worries with just waste going into tank.
-Buy whatever brand paper you choose (save money).

BTW-we do the same with the septic system at sticks-n-bricks.

RV toilet paper is a brilliant marketing scam for the newbies. Just use the septic safe with plenty of water.

Angel Soft breaks down better

Charmin Ultra Soft did not work for me. On my coach, the tank drains combine and exit into the box that holds the built in macerator. The macerator motor is very close to the drain inlet pipe. Paper would jam up and clog this area, preventing the tanks from draining. Paper backed up most of the way to my rear toilet before I cleaned it out the first time. It had been draining slower and slower for a few weeks up to that point. Thoroughly cleaning the box would fix the problem for about a month, then draining would slow and eventually stop completely. Switching to Angel Soft two ply two months ago fixed the problem. There has been no draining issues since.

Charmin probably would have been ok of not for the built in restriction in the macerator box. Angel Soft clearly breaks down faster and more thoroughly than Charmin.

What about for use when you have a macerator toilet? RV TP or Septic Safe or just regular TP? Any thoughts?

I’m going to be in the minority here. My RV has always been sensitive to what paper I used. Fleetwood decided to do a curved pipe under the toilet and clogs used to happen often until I started using the Scott RV paper, which I’ve found only through Walmart in the RV section. It is much thicker than the regular one ply Scott in the TP aisle, but seems to flush better and doesn’t clog in the tank either, as has also happened with some other brands of RV paper.

We just found out before our last trip that Charmin Ultra Soft works great in the RV. We were down to our last roll of 4-ply RV toilet paper that felt like cardboard so I grabbed a sample of the Charmin from the house and put it in a jar full of water. The next morning I shook the jar and there was nothing left of the toilet paper, just milky water. I put a sample of the cardboard RV paper in under the same conditions and it wasn't close to dissolving the next day. We're using Charmin from now on.
