"Shady" mobile RV repair service in Port Canaveral area
Whens travelling we don't always have an opportunity to check out an RV service as thououghly as we should. When local repair shops were unable to help me for several days, and on the recommendation of one, I called a mobile RV repair service who serves the Titusville, Port Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, Melbourne, Long Point area. The guy did the work ok, but lied to me about talking with my extended service insurance company. As a result, I ended up having to pay a lot more than I should have to replace my inverter/charger. I also found out later, the guy greatly overcharged me for the replacement item. So, you might want to avoid mobile services in that area.

That really stinks. It would be great if you would add your review.

Thanks for the input. I did not know about this RV Review site. I have made a post their.
RE: shop around. Sometimes you do not have the luxury. When you are travelling and all of your interior power goes out (12v and 110v), and you have no refrigerator, things get kind of desperate fast. I did contact nearby 'fixed base' RV service centers, but none could help me for several DAYS. One referred me to this Mobile Service operation as a possible source of help, and he responded with same day" service".

Sorry for the bad experience. You did everything you could by calling the repair shops then taking their advice. Please be sure to let the repair shop know the mobile guys service was not acceptable. The repair shop may not know that ... he might have just dropped off a card or something and I'm sure they would not want to refer him again.

I wouldn't damn all mobile repair services in an area because one was perhaps overpriced. And since there was no data provided on the item replaced, the amount of labor or the price charged for the item or the labor, we have no way to judge the facts anyway.
Not saying the report is wrong, but I wouldn't jump top conclusions either.
