Shout out to Les Schwab

shout out to les schwab tire center

yesterday as we prepared to depart our rv park in draper utah, i noticed that the passenger side rear tire of the car was very low. so, off to les schwab (1.5 miles away) we go. they got us in very quickly, got the two screws (unbeknownst to us) out of the tire, and got the tire patched. all of this was at NO CHARGE. talk about great customer service.

Wow, contrast that with my experience with Costco some years ago. We bought tires from them for years for all our vehicles, mostly because they were good at balancing them. When we bought our Tracker the tires on it were nearly new, but needed balancing. Since we had been a loyal customer for years, I took it to Costco to have them balanced. I offered to pay for the service, but they refused on the company policy reasoning that if they balanced my tires someone who bought the tires on their vehicle from Costco could have to wait until they were finished with mine. Never mind that the tires on all our other vehicles came from Costco. I even sent an email to corporate with the story and received the same response. Needless to say, I haven't been back since.

If you need new tires go to Schwaab in Oregon... no sales tax. It adds up for a big motorhome! They did great with us, also. We called from Texas and said we're on our way to Alaska & will stop in Oregon for the tires. We requested the tire date be no older than 2 months and they all had to match. Got there and everything was ready to go!
