Shurflo 2088-422-144 Water Pump replacement - recommendations?.0 amp max
Looking to replace the Shurflo 2088-422-144 water pump (12 VDC, 2.8 gpm, 45 psi, 7.0 amp max) in the DW's motor home, which will hopefully be quieter and more trustworthy than the present one which from the look of it, might be an 18-year old original issue!
Any suggestions for replacement? Possibly variable flow? Even better if it was lucky enough for the support holes to line up with the present pump, but I doubt I'll get that lucky.
Pump capacity won't need to be very high for this fairly simple rig with single shower, kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and toilet.

Well I found a ShurFlow Water Pump install on youtube that isn't your exact model but it's packed with some really good tips, the install, premise and GPM he covers is all pretty much the same. You may find this helpful to prepare your replacement.
Good luck my friend.

Bud H-
The ShurFlo Revolution 4008-101-E65 is a direct replacement for the 2088. Link to the product page is here.
Here is a link to a search of iRV2 posts on the terms "ShurFlo," "2088" and "replace" or "replacement."

The pump mentioned above is available on Amazon. Bought it 2 weeks ago at $65 and change.

Thanks for the information on the expected replacement pump. I’m standing in a Spartansburg SC Camping World where they are selling the Shurflo Revolution 4008-101-E65 for $132 plus tax!! Won’t be purchasing that here.
I forgot to mention I’d like to get the conversion kit for the pump inlet to allow me to draw anti-freeze from a bottle avoiding the fresh water tank. If anyone knows of one that can be used with the 4008-101-E65, that would be appreciated.

Posting this in case the OP thinks about replacing with another brand.
The original Shurflo in ours developed a leak between its halves that wasn't discovered for at least a month. Because of that, and because it cost less, I went with a Seaflo with similar specs for replacement. It went right in and works fine. I would recommend but since the OP mentioned it, it does seem to be a tiny bit louder than the old Shurflo.

I replaced my 2088-422-444 with the ShurFlo 4048-153-E75 a month ago. I need to adjust it down to 55 psi as it's putting out 64 psi right now. It can really blast the shampoo out of your hair. It almost hurts at full volume.
It is a little larger and heavier than the 2088 so you might have to relocate it. If you buy it make sure you leave enough room to get a small allen wrench on the two pressure setting screws since it is a bypass model with adjustable cutoff and bypass settings.

From below, it appears the match for the 2088-422-144 is the 4008-101-A65, although highly likely the E65 would be fine.
From https://www.pentair.com/content/dam/...sion-Chart.pdf

You can make your own "conversion kit" with some 1/2" tube, some clamps, a shut off valve and a tee fitting at the big box hardware stores.
