Shut off your freaking Gen Set!

Hot night in southern Oregon, stop at a casino free dry camp lot... cools off at 1 am and just drifting off to sleep... some fool fires up his gen set and it is not a quiet model.... have to have the windows open, gen set time ends at 10pm... don't run your microwave, I'm sorry your TV ran down your batt, everybody is awake now in the lot... if you need your Cpap machine go to the rv resort on the other side of the freeway and plug in... sheesh... just shut off your freaking gen set so the rest of us can get some sleep...

Did you call security at the casino? They would have taken care of it for you.

Never done this kind of overnight parking lot camping, but I'll be people are hesitant to call security because it's just easier for them to boot everyone out rather then spend time and money dealing with people squabbling.

Exactly. Especially when someone stopped in just to park for free then started whining about a generator running. This would be a great way to shut the parking down for anyone other than a customer or even shut it down entirely.
The person who started a generator may have had a good reason for doing so. Maybe their battery was running down and their C-Pap machine quit.

If there are published generator hours or quiet hours folks should adhere.

In all things these days there seems to be a "rules don't apply to me attitude."

Unless the casino has published rules about generator usage, too bad. It’s a hot night. I’m using the generator.

I've been in your situation but free is free, you are getting the peace and quiet you pay for.

Hear ya, but if you can just move away from the noise if possible.

If it was an open frame generator, they have no use in camping around others.

If you're talking about a contractor model gen in a truck bed than that must have been really loud indeed.
The top two things I could see in this situation are either ask security for help (enforcing quiet hours) or just turn on your own gen and both AC units. The latter is probably what I would have done.

Go across the street to the RV resort where there is no need for a generator. Freeloading comes with concessions!

May I suggest that in the future, you overnight where there are certain to be no rigs that have generators.
By the way, does your generator run so quietly that it does not disturb others who enjoy or otherwise need a daytime nap?
