We moved here to Tennessee this past March from New Mexico. I am setting here looking out of the window at our 35' Motorhome wondering what is wrong with this picture. Due to having just moved into the newly constructed home, we are staying the winter here. First, I am NOT used to having HUMIDITY with cold, and second, I sure wish we had gone south and finished the "honey do's" in the spring. Oh well, I at least get to read the forum, and think about spring when we can get outside and not freeze.
I was hoping for a mild winter. See, Al Gore is full of it. Global warming is not in Tennessee.
Have a Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year, and I will keep reading the posts.

Looks like we're going to have a colder and possibly, a snowier winter than we've had the last several years. We already got 2-3 inches of snow here on the Cumberland Plateau early this week. No comparision to our northern friends though! It has been cold for certain...about 17 degrees this morning.

We have a bunch coming for Christmas, then just after New Years we're off to the Sunshine State for 2 months. Disney, Daytona and Florida State Parks. Looking forward to it!

Bob

We have been cold for this time of year in eastern North Carolina. Well maybe the global warmers will shut up until summer. In a few more weeks we may head south. A friend call yesterday and he was in the 80's near Ocala, Fla. and we were 45.

The weather guy said this morning that the November temps for N Georgia were 20 degrees lower than what the average has been. He also mentioned that December was looking the same way.
I think we all need a road trip.

Hee hee, when the Dems get into office next month, I'm sure they'll still figure out a way to blame the colder weather on George Bush and the Repubs. Sorry, I just had to say it,....er...not really....er...well, maybe.

Well, all of you that are heading south, I am envious, but this is the LAST time I spend winter in the cold baring unforseen events. Even the cat is cold, he stays snuggled infront of the fireplace.

Linda, I was checking the weather on one of the network news shows the other day and danged if the weather in Rapid City wasn't colder than here in Atlanta. Strange!

It was colder than normal in NW Va. this past October, DW & I opted to go south for a few days in early Nov. We stopped @ Jekyll Island, Ga. which only hit the 70s the first dat, went on down to Canaveral Fl. where it only hit the low 60s a day or two. Was not the warmth we were seeking but better than home.

It seems whenever DW & I go south the temps hit record lows in the Keys, Everglades & any point North.

We apologize to our fellow travelers and seek any evidence that may or may not exist of any supposed Global Warming. If Global Warming is actaually happening, our sympathys for those on the coast, that can't afford the interest, maintenance, insurance & living costs of the beautiful water front property that will be rebuilt with our taxes but exclude us enjoyement.
