Silly Question

For those that have the USA map as an avatar or have the map on their MH/trailer. Are the "colored/filled" states where you've been? Where you've been in all MH/trailers? Or, just in the current MH/trailer? What about camping in Mass. and taking the toad to NH?
Inquiring minds want to know

For me it is where I have been in this motorhome .the reason was I remarried got a new motorhome and just wanted to start over, but you will find a variety of answers from states passed through to those parked in .you will also find any combination of current to all RVs used .

Ours is states that we have actually spent some time in, not just passing through.

We show only states that we have camped in, regardless of RV. Been thru some states several times but never camped there, so they don't show.

Hi H. Miller,
For me the state is placed on the map if we have put our feet in the dirt/grass of that state. A star is placed in the location of the state where we did an activity (not camping, but a sight seeing activity).

So...if we camped in Prairie du Chien, WI for a week and day tripped across the Mississippi river to Marquette,IA., we can't paste the IA sticker to the map? Bad form? Is there maybe a dollar threshold one has to spend in order to apply the sticker...we DID spend over a hundred bucks in Marquette in a very limited time frame! Still no sticker? Bob

Bob.
Overkill!!
You make the rules and paste whatever you want. If you went to an adjoining state and want to tell your fellow travelers you were there-Go for it.
Don't worry about the rules or what others do-Do your own thing, the map is yours

Well said. We put the state sticker on our map if we've visited there in our coach... or attended activities in a state where we may have been camped just across the boarder. The map is for you so reflect whatever you want it to reflect. With 34 state stickers on our map though, we have gotten a lot of attention from kids in some rural areas.

No... however personal opinion (mine) says that you must have at least stayed the night... Otherwise my map's been full at least 2x and I'd have to pick up a World map to add to it...

And I just got the RV

Mine was in our last ( first ) MH., we actually slept in 47 states but stopped in the other two as well. We have since been back to about 20 states but don't really count anymore. We also went to all 10 Cdn. prov. and the Yukon terr. The Copper Canyon in Mexico was done by Bus and Train as they don't take MH anymore.

We stopped counting at 48 states then started collecting fridge magnets but we've run out of room for them. We plan (if my health recovers enough) to MH to Seattle and then cruise ship to Alaska. I'm still pondering how to do Hawaii perhaps the same as Alaska.

Since our kids are 13 & 17 we only put the places we have camped together, otherwise they would be all covered and we would need to use the Mexico map and Europe maps
