Sleep Number mattress radius corners

Anyone have an RV Sleep Number (RV King) with the radius corners? The Camping World website has a picture that shows the corner is cut back 12" from a normal mattress corner. Is that correct? What's the radius on the regular RV King mattress?

We currently have a Comfortair mattress, which was the upgrade available from Newmar in '08 models. But when I measure the radius cut on that, and the platform it's on, it appears closer to 4".

If the Select Comfort is actually 12" cut, then we're going to get the non-radius cut and live with the slight overhang.

Thanks!

joe

I got the regular cut. The overhang isn't noticeable for the radius cut of the base board. Plus she made her own bedspread and it was easier. It was her call and a good one.

She always has something laying over the end anyway and with the original crappy mattress that it came with, radius cuts, they use to slide off.

You won't be disappointed. Camping World has exclusive rights on the Select Comfort. You can't get it anywhere else. But it is the same as my 7000 #'s in the stick house and I paid Select Comfort twice as much as Camping World. Makes raising up bottom a lot easier also.

Thanks Perry. I think Sue went ahead and ordered the new mattress last night. If the overhang is really objectionable, I think I'll have Newmar make up a new bed platform. It'll just be the one part and shouldn't cost too much.
