Slide Lubrication

What lubricant should be used on aluminum slide tract? What if any lubricants or conditioners should be used on slide seals?
Thanks!!

If it's a rack & pinion gear side, generally none is needed. It's a very coarse gear and makes very few cycles and those at low speeds, so wear is negligible. You could run the slides in/out every day for 25 years and never wear it out.

If you feel the need to do something, use a dry lube of some sort, e.g. Kwikee Spray Lube. Don't use anything sticky that can collect dirt.

Schwintek / Lippert is now suggesting no lubricant on the gear track and only clean then with air or a soft brush.

HD Silicone spray monthly or when doing multi RV moves on slide rubber seals, have used same on slide racks once or twice but haven't noticed any difference in operation or noise.
I have drilled holes into our fifth Wheel front landing gear tubes and yearly spray a can of white lithium grease onto both jack screws. Lubrication and cleaning are still good for most moving parts.
