There are people who prefer non-slide units in trailers as it lowers weight significantly. I imagine same concept holds for some MH enthusiasts who want to save on weight to increase payload, increase fuel economy, etc. I'm sure it's not the majority.

If any one can point me to a Super C without a slide made in the last 5 or so years I would be most grateful, because I can't find one. I'm in the simple is better school.

Personally, I would not own a MH without a slide. Our current rig has 4, but I would be happy with only two, one in the LR and one in the BR.

However, slides come with their own set of potential problems. For just one, see my post in the Monaco owner's forum.

These days people want slides. I have three. Would never own or consider any thing else.

For us....
Coach/RV MUST be fully live-able/functional with no slides extended..NOT negotiable .

One Living Room slide (HWH Hyd. ram, pneumatic air bladder sealing )
NO Bedroom slide... Too many places we park have no room to extend any slide,
& DW can take a nap while I'm driving if she wants..

A or C? Not giving us a lot to work with.....

Personal opinion is that the condition of the unit will affect resale value the most. My advice, buy what you want, for what $$ you want and deal with who wants to buy it when you're done with it.

And for those who think it would be better to stay home if you're just worried about a slide breaking, I'd point out that anyone who needs a 50-inch TV and a living room bigger than my first apartment would be the one better off staying at home. That's just my view though.

16 years of full-timing and traveling constantly - 2 RVs - absolutely no problems with our slides. We did specify on both of them that we wanted only two slides and they had to be on the same side. We used public campsites a lot - think trees. We didn't have to worry about positioning the RV between trees on both sides of the RV.

However, if the OP likes the RV and thinks it is roomy enough for him then he should have no concerns. Someone will buy it although it may take longer.

No slide was on the must list when looking for first MH.
Wanted simple with less to go wrong.
Wanted fast setup and teardown because small MH without toad.
Don't care about resale.
Interior was designed for no slide and works great.

In today's market, I fully expect any RV, be it trailer or MH, that doesn't have a slide will be automatically discounted by any potential buyer, and in fact may prevent them from looking at your non slide RV at all.

All that said, there are still a few of us that will consider RV's without slides, and indeed search them out.

My current TT is a Jay Flight 23RB which came with no slides. The floor plan is completely functional all the time of course, and it provides all the room the two of us need. I do like the fact I don't have to deal with the slide potentially going bad, and the fact I can have no leaks due to the hole where the slide is.

The answer is one of simple arithmetic. There are a lot more buyers who want slides than those who do not. That means it is easier to sell RVs with slides and thus they generally bring more money. It does NOT mean nobody will buy an RV without a slide - there is a small but noticeable audience for them (as you can see by the proportion of responses in this topic).

My motor home has one long slide on the drivers side that extends the full length of the coach. To me, the value of that slide is what they did with the extra room. In the rear bedroom, the slide is filled with storage space, closets and drawers, that I really value. It holds an additional large closet and drawers forward of the rear bedroom which I value because we often travel with another couple. And of course, the extra floor space in the living room is nice for four people (and a dog). So for us, the extra space provided by the slide is a must and we would not be interested in a coach without a slide. That’s just what we need based on how we like to travel.
