Slide out wearing floor

The floor is showing a wear mark from slide out when slide is in and we are traveling. Don't think a rug will go under the slide to prevent the wear. Any ideas? We thought maybe a think place of plastic?
The TT is a Timber Ridge 260rls

You can get a sheet of thin plexiglass at Lowes or Home Depot. If it is a wide piece, you can score it with a razor cutter and break it in two pieces.

Thin plastic cutting boards used for art work for me. Hold in place while bringing in slide.
