What it all boils down to is that you either learn to live with what you can get or find another pastime with boats etc. can be even more ...interesting
Those are all the cookie cutter manufacturers. Go with a top of the line unit that uses LG appliances, magnum pure sine wave inverter, EQ hydraulics system, marine grade plywood, mor-ryde 9k I.S. axles with Kodiak disc brakes, 100% oem automotive paint with no decals, progressive industries inline electric protection, Fischer paykel, dove tail drawers, gen y, , onan, truma, see level, 3 1/2" wall's, doubled up out riggers at slides , 5000lb ramp doors not the chincey lci doors and a 5yr warranty to boot.
My only comprimise is yes its a lci frame but luxe has lci build there frames to luxe specs so I'm good with it because of the improvements made by there design.
New horizons is better yet as they custom build there frames.
Bottom line is yes you can overpay for a camper/rv/ coach/ home or whatever you want to call it for your lifestyle but generally the more you are able too afford means the better product that you can have wich uses better parts pieces and vendor's. You get what you pay for. Imho

I must be one of the lucky ones....no problems with any of those 3 things in years of RV ownership. Awnings included.

Boils down to maintenance and taking care of your equipment.

Full disclosure: We are not fulltimers.

I was thinking the same thing. My slides have always worked, my jacks have always worked and the only time I had a problem with the steps was after I bumped a curb on a narrow assed toll booth in Delaware. It bent the clevis pin from motor to step. Totally my fault and only took 5 minutes to fix. I also have had good luck with my awnings. Now batteries are a different story and the stupid ready camp remote control system is a piece of junk. Who needs a remote control for a camper?
