Slides out for extended time without jacks at dealer

i've taken great interest in a class a gas with slides only on the drivers side.

the dealer does not put the jacks down. the mh has been at dealer 6 months on display...
i like the coach. i like the dealer. the price is good on a 2019... i called the manufacturer and guy in service says there should be no problem from this extended time period.
makes me happy.. but looking for any comments or experiences. this is a lot weight sticking out one side of the coach.. ?about coach suspension? ?about slide mechanisms and support? ?stress on driver side wall and floor?

? comments? concerns? experience?

I would be more concerned about the rubber slide seals and wipers being exposed to the uv rays for 6 solid months without being treated more than the jacks being up or down.

Having the slides out will not damage anything. They are made for that purpose. If they retract and extend without issue, then they are good.

Sun on the seals is another issue if they were not protected.

I would check to be sure there are no seal leaks if it's been raining for part of the time.

Some full timers leave their slides out for many months at a time, albeit with jacks down for stabilization. The slide itself should be good to go. As has been mentioned, be sure to check the seals...

Myself, I might be a bit concerned if it were a full wall slide but even then, I'd just bring it in and eyeball height of both sides of the coach to make sure they were the same.

The question has come up before about running the slides out before or after setting the jacks. Apparently manufacturers instructions vary. It would seem that having the slides fully extended would provide the same stiffness as having them fully retracted since they are tight against the coach body. Probably not a good idea to move the coach a lot with them extended though. Dealers probably don't want jacks left down to prevent pavement damage over time (and possible corrosion of jack rams).

I agree that UV damage to seals might be more of a problem. You know the dealer is not sending anyone around to put protectant on the seals.
