Smart Phone apps for RV'rs
What is everyone using. I see allstays, passport america and others have campground apps.

I carry an Andriod phone...love it. Verizon service works most everywhere. My favorite apps (all free) include:
Alarm clock Plus - the best alarm clock program I've ever seen
Barcode Scanner - for reading those square labels full of dots in magazines
c:geo - great Geocaching application linked in with Geocaching.com
GasBuddy - when looking for best price for the toad
IP Cam Viewer - for monitoring a couple of internet webcams I have setup at home
Places - Excellent app for finding restaurants, grocery stores, truck stops, campgrounds, etc sorted by distance from where you are
Radar Now - quickly gives me a weather radar map of the area surrounding my current location- this has helped a lot when dealing with lake-effect snow squalls
WikiTude - fun app for discovering points of interest on the horizon

I also have an Android, but use Sprint service. Works great. I use it as my navigation system also. I have Camp and RV by AllStays. Gives information on RV dealers, rest areas, repair facilities, etc based on you location or a zip code.

I looked for the places app but could not find it. Is the name places or is there more to the name? Thank You for any help.

I believe the places app is a Verizon droid app. I haven't seen it on the other android phones.

I put in the word places on my droid thunderbolt and it came up with 6023 things. I scrolled down until my finger was tired. I did not find the app. Is there a way to find the app an easier way. Thank You Chris

I like Lattitude on Google Maps, it allows me to find where my wife left her Cell Phone.

OK I must be doing something wrong because when I searched for the app places and I still came up with 6095 matches. I typed it in and the search. What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to narrow down the apps that come up?
Thank You Chris

Not exactly RV-specific, but I loooove the Google Sky Map. Perfect for those nights outside the RV gazing at the stars.
