Sneaking around - overnight
I am headed in a little while with my 26 foot sprinter to visit my son who lives in Denver about a mile south of the downtown area. Very congested area. Trying to figure out what to do with my motorhome for a night. Parking on the street I think is prohibitive or at least dangerous due to the street width. Without going out of town into a campground..what are my options? Last time we were there, we found d a large office building and took our chances. How about a church or an overnight grocery store. I would be very sensitive to church service on Sunday morning and things like that.

Parking overnight
You might try the light rail parking lot as it is well lighted and I know people have parked there before. At least at the one at Mineral station. If you are coming this weekend be sure you winterize. The light rail stations Ball arena and south towards Broadway are fairly large parking areas. Good luck. Travato John.

Through the weekend and Monday night on January 20th the low forecast for Denver is to be around 0F or even much further below depending on the weather site. Cherry Creek State Park campground might be an option. The Western Stock Show in Denver is from January 11th through the 26th which is going to limit the urban camping sites.

Casinos and hospitals could handle a Sprinter.

Not convenient to downtown but a safe and legal option is parking at the airport. They apparently allow oversized vehicles including motorhomes in the satellite lots. You can’t stay in the rv unless you have a flight booked. Friends of mine had a family emergency in 2023 and had to fly immediately back to Virginia. They said they safely left their motorhome and towed there for 9 days.

I needed a place to park overnight a couple years ago. Looking at the map I saw a Sam's club fairly close to the hwy. Dropped in there and went in and asked if it was OK to park overnight. They said no problem.
I did buy a bunch of stuff in the Sam's club, which I normally do when a business lets me park.
When I first pulled into the lot there were a bunch of people pan handling, I simply walked by. By night time they were all gone. This was in Oct so temps were colder. I did run my generator some but not for the full night.

I’m not sure why you’re visiting your son and not staying with him……unless there’s no room. I’m trying to under why you wouldn’t just travel by car. It could be you have several days travel on the way there and back, but you did didn’t tell us.
Parking anywhere on private property…..church, factory, retail is up to the individual owner and how secure that parking spot is after hours.

The Wash Park area that my daughter lives in has "narrow streets" but people still park on them. Over the holidays their neighbors had company and there were two RVs parked along the curb for about 2 weeks. If it were me, I'd cruise the street where your son lives, see if others are parked along the curb, and if so... that is where I would park too.

Looks like overnight parking is against city ordinances in Denver. There's a Costco in Superior, and it's listing does not say "no overnight parking" like everything in Denver does.

You also need to be concerned about cold temps. Parking in an open lot without utilities may present a problem.
Even campgrounds may not be open.
If the son does not have room, take the car and book a motel.

Bite the bullet and get a campsite for a night so you can have power to run the furnace to keep things from freezing.

Do not inflict your situation and issue onto others. Ask permission. You might get it. If you don't, your chances might end up with an impounded RV and other fines. While you don't want to, a CG might be the right choice. Better to pay 35-60 for the night, than the repercussions.
