It was 27 degrees this morning and 29 right now in Baldwin, Mi. Had frost last night and the night before. I brought the tomato plants inside. It is going to rain tomorrow.

Central Ny higher elevations had snow overnight Saturday for Mother's Day. 1 -2 inches on ground. Had to put heat on in MH and drop light in pump area. Lost 3 pots of begonias I forgot all about that were handing on the porch. Still cold today and down to 25 degrees tonight! Glad I wasn't camping this past weekend. LOL

Wind was a rock'n the rig
Windy Mother's day with passing thunder storms, I guess a lot of BBQs got put off till the weather clears. We're only 60 miles from Dallas sooo that's a lot of BBQs

We had to move mom from Duluth, MN down to assisted living near my sister in Mpls. last Friday (5/7) and so we wheeled up to Minnesota from the Texas hill country the previous week. Normally we don't head North quite this early, and....sure enough,...last Friday, the day of the move, we found ourselves loading the U-Haul up in Duluth in the middle of a sloppy blizzard and then driving down to Minneapolis.
BUT!!......summer IS on the way..........right??? Lived in Minnesota all my life so we're used to dealing with Minnesota winters, but the ol magic of snow country has somehow lost it's appeal. Friday's little blizzard up in Duluth has served as a great reminder why we now full time and move where the snow...aint!!!

Yup, had 4+" of the stuff up over the hill from Lake Superior . After 72° F in April, May has been a disappointment to say the least. Haven't even tilled the garden yet - maybe by Memorial Day.
They say it is going to be in the 60's by this weekend. Just in time for our first campout.

Been back in Oregon since Easter and the weather is just too wet and cold. Thinking of leaving for Las Vegas the end of the week.
