Something really new...

I saw a bumblebee emerge from the rear vertical slide seal. I reached up and pinched it and started sliding my fingers down and felt a crunch......


Out fell another. At least it wasn't a stinker.

Is it yours? They bore into wood so there's probably a nest inside there somewhere.

That was a fairly common occurrence on mine. I used to spray the openings around the slides a couple times each summer.

I've never heard of a bumblebee nesting in anything except wood.

I think what you have is carpenter bees. They can and will destroy the wood they nest in. Spectracide makes a spray to kill them.
