Doing my best to stay away from politics……it’s a shame the company is having to ‘remove them legally through the court system’. It’s blatant trespass. Illegal. Call law enforcement. Immediate removal.

Wow, that story may discourage future buyers not knowing if their new camper was squatted in. Leave it to CA to have city and county laws that do nothing to protect the property owners from the huge damage and loss. Black Series campers are expensive to begin with, this will not help sales.

The video shows two things, first it is hardly a secure lot. It almost looks like abandoned property to begin with- this is where you store a couple million bucks worth of travel trailers? Second is this has been going on for quite some time. Maybe this was being addressed long before the story was aired but it's not like this started last week. I think the only question is what insurance will pay against this lost inventory and who will be responsible for clearing out that mess. I wonder if it's necessary to litigate eviction proceedings since these are technically not residences. Seems all one would have to do is hitch them up and remove them. I wonder too what liability the property owner has, not that it is their fault directly but you'd think there'd be some effort to clear the place out. But I guess that goes with all the other social issues that are created when laws facilitate it.

It now takes 30 days to claim tenant rights in California. What responsible business owner would park millions of dollars of property in an easy accessible lot and not have it checked on or regularly patrolled to keep squatters out?
Looks like a great way to collect insurance on unsold units

And they will be liable for anyone being hurt by that fence. Either the trespassers or a customer inadvertently touching the fence.
I know I would go after Marcus if I got shocked!!
Warning signs don't make a difference.

I can't watch the video, they don't like my ad blocker. Weird to me though. So if/when they need to move a unit from storage to the display lot for sale they have to legally evict people out of it first?

Why did it take the company so long to notice the problem?
That didn't happen in a few weeks.

The lots in Indiana where the rigs are stored prior to shipment are hardly secured. These are open fields with a chain link fence around the area. The storage lots are scattered around close to the manufacturer's plants.
We have been there, and some lots are full, others are partially full and still others may have 1-2 rigs sitting there.
Drivers, from numerous transport companies, come and go all hours of the day up there.

Except ... Northern Indiana does not have near the problem of homelessness as they do in California. I've never heard of an Amish "homeless" family????
I find it interesting that there are issues on both sides of this. If you read the article, it appears the RV's owners are not exactly Kosher either. It's the property owner who's being jammed-up over this:
"The property owners, who are not affiliated with Black Series, claimed that the RV company had placed about 100 campers on the land without their consent or knowledge since at least 2023. In January 2025, a Los Angeles County court ordered Black Series to pay landowners $95,610, according to Legacy Point. "

Black Series has pretty much gone into the crapper over poor quality and cost, so as to company's demise - may be an issue that shows no real concern on their part. However, the fact that squatters have taken over is and now, probably, have some legal recourse, is disheartening.
