I made it a rule to skip the really high tax states for job searches. I don't even think twice about anything from California.

I thought it was 1 April. There is a vote in May on certain parts of the budget but I read the sales tax goes up April 1.

California's huge deficit. We have the worlds fifth largest economy if we were a country and our current deficit is around 16 billion give or take a few billion. We have 2 million plus illegals many of them who receive all of our benefits and pay no taxes. We have a certain party that loves to spend spend and tax tax tax and it is politically correct to give all the benefits to the illegals etc. The two parties do not work together which is why our budget was 100 days late.

Our previous governor was recalled due to a tripling of the RV tax by the same set of lawmakers above.

A proposal you might see is term limitations or removing the 2 political party system from the legislature.

I wonder now if the two party system is a plus or a minus. I am leaning towards a minus.

Hey WHATYOUTALKNABOUTWILLIS take note of the democratic house of reps action. Buying early may not save you. Apparently they can make a law retroactive if greed looks attractive enough.

You forgot to mention the hailstorms, cold winters, and high humidity in the summer.
For that you get lower cost insurance, no vehicle inspection and low vehicle license fees.
