Sticker Map, Just drove through or stayed?

I had stopped at work on the way back from a two day camping triplast week and a co-worker was looking at the sticker map on the side. She asked if the stickers indicated if we had camped in that state or just passed through. I told her that the ~15 state stickers were from the previous owner and in our 3 years of owning it had not applied any stickers for the additional states that we had camped in nor ones we just passed through.

So that brings up the question, Do you apply a sticker only for the states you camped in or do you also include the states you just drove through?

The state has to have been slept in to earn a sticker

We only added a state sticker IF we had actually stayed there and had done something......

Traveling thru/overnighting didn't count for US

But I'm sure there is NO OFFICIAL RULE....each to their own

Our vote is the state (or province, for our Canadian neighbors) sticker is applied if we camped the night in the respective state/province, even if we just stayed overnight in that state/province as we were journeying elsewhere. Now, I suppose a related question is-

“Is the sticker applied if one has stayed in that state/province, but not in one’s current RV?”

Our answer for this question is “Yes, because the map represents where we have been, not where the RV has been.”

I agree, if you spent at least one night in that state or province your map earns a sticker

I have no issue showing a state visited if just passing through. If you put the time in driving though it and saw what you could your good in my book.

Yep, our rule is if we pull the trailer through the state then it is ours. Trailer has to be in state.

Our map means we have volunteered for 1 month or longer in that state during our last 6+ years of full timing.
