I do RV's all the time, but doesn't do you much good as I am in Minnesota.

Tell me where you are and I can look for a referral.
I don't think it matters where you are. There is nothing to look at since it was stolen and has not been recovered. All I need is a fair evaluation of the cost to replace the coach and I am not getting that through their valuation service.

Come up with another $1K worth of personal items, such as chairs, tables, canned goods, hoses, binoculars etc and call it a day. To me, the energy spent and the cost of an adjuster, who may not increase your claim, is just prolonging how long it will take before you see your money. The adjuster could eventually cost you $500 - $750 and not increase your claim.
On a $155K coach that is a pretty decent hit. Additionally, I am putting money down on a replacement and paying $166K. All told, I am out over $20K on a 3 month old coach that I used on 3 very short camping trips. Sorry, but that is just not OK.

They found only two 2021 Thor Challenger used coaches that sold. One of which had over 10K miles on it and they valued it at $2K more than my 3500 mile coach. That coach had to have been lived in to get those kind of miles in a year so there is no way it was in new condition like mine was.

Reality is that I could probably sell my coach for a profit right now if it had not been stolen. The reality is they have no comparable coaches that they can use to value mine so they just went with what they could find and are forcing me down the only other path available to me.

Again, I know this is a tough pill to swallow, but you're not out $20K. You're out the $11k difference. If you didn't buy another coach and held onto your money, you would be out the $11K. It's your choice to buy another new coach. The insurance is about making you whole, not replacement cost coverage, UNLESS you paid extra for it. In reality, buy a used one, just like yours, and you've lost nothing. That's what the insurance is truly offering you.

You hate the insurance company and I hate California. Every time I think about replacing a coach, I, and you too, since you're in California, take a huge hit. I bought two new coaches in an 8 year period and California over $60K in taxes and registration. Money I'll never see again.

I insured an asset. In the current market said asset is actually appreciating. I can't buy a 2021 equivalent of my coach and they couldn't find a real comp. Sorry, but you are just plain wrong and don't have the data that they presented to me.

That was sold last December. Challenge with RV Trader and RVT is that you can't assume something is actually available when you see it there. They are often tagged or have something in the description or you have to go to the dealer's website to get a current status. There are times that the unit is still sold and it has not been updated anywhere.

Get a 3rd party appraisal and let them haggle with the adjuster.. I did and it came out higher than what I told them to write me a check for.. I made another 10k on a $350 appraisal..

They have to accept it.. but they will also negotiate with each other but the appraiser will work for you.. I was hit by a person and I used my insurance to handle everything.. nothing like arguing value with the insurance lady I had been with for over 20 years and all my family used. She explained what needed to happen and it worked well.. no fighting and no segueing after that

Was yours an RV issue? If so, do you mind sharing who did your appraisal? I am struggling to find an RV appraiser. I am only finding house appraisers.

Oops. I meant to post the link in a thread titled "RV Claim Adjuster". Someone over there was trying to find this thread.

Thank you. I will call them tomorrow. Their online contact form doesn't seem to work.
