the bulge story is what convinced me he was telling a whopper of a stinker!!
on a personal note, pretending dennis is my camper friend... he should send op a note just saying "hey, i was just telling a whopper. it wasn't me" or send a note saying, "hey, send me your address and i'll send you money for a new slinky or have a new slinky sent to your address.

OP knows Dennis made up his hilarious mea culpa - SMH that so many thought he was being serious...

We had beer stolen during the night at a river campsite, bunch of us guys fished there a couple times a year, slept in a large tent. Coolers were outside near the picnic table. I bought some Exlax gum that looked like Chicklet gum, swapped the contents into the Chicklets pack and left it on the table near the beer cooler. We hunkered down and waited inside the tent and sure enough, the culprits found the beer and enjoyed the chiclets. Party ended soon enough and that, my friends, was the end of the beer thieves. If it had not been so long ago I would have suggested these mobile poop machines took your hose, hung from the vehicle window so they could make it home.

Do not do use the Exlax trick/trap as it has held up in court when the thief complained and sued over the mantrap, product tampering, medical attack, chemical assault, etc, etc. Petty theft is a misdemeanor while the Exlax Trap can be considered a Felony. Misdemeanors are more easily expunged from your record however Felonies will usually follow you for the rest of your life.

Am I the only one that has to wonder if this was honestly someone thinking they had found abandoned hoses?
There is a free public dump station that I use fairly often behind a community building about a mile from my house. I have yet to find an abandoned sewer hose there, though it would not surprise me. As I have seen as many as 4 coiled up forgotten water hoses laying on the ground near the water flush faucet, I have never taken one, though could see how someone would feel they are fair game (less so for ones left connected to the faucet).

Under the new ANTIFA rules of engagement, you may do as you please and not face any consequences. Just don't forget to wear your mask into the grocery store.

Maybe the original poster is reading all the comments made on this topic and has learned; Never mess with another monkey's monkey until that monkey monkeys with your monkey. Well, actually stinky slinky.

What really stinks is 8 pages of BS about a stolen $20 dollar sewer hose.

Anyone else ever had their stinky slinky stolen?! I mean who does that? We were spending a couple of nights at Shelter Cove RV park in Northern California in our Class C. The day after arrival we wanted to go to a nearby black sand beach for the afternoon. Not wanting to pack everything up, we left our Camp Chef and Solo Stove out, the door mat, the table cloth on the picnic table, the water hose (with filter etc) and the stinky slinky (capped). Upon returning about 4 hrs later we pull up and everything is there but the stinky slinky and water hose setup. My first reaction was "We got robbed!" But then I was like, why would someone steal that stuff and leave the Camp Chef and Solo Stove... So I park and start heading over to the management office thinking that maybe there is a regulation where you can't leave those things hooked up and they temporarily confiscated them. As I'm walking I look at the RV that has parked next to us since we left. I spy some familiar looking equipment and then my gaze rises to meet the eyes of the new arrival. He instantly seems to sense my bewilderment and says "oh, are these yours? I thought they were abandoned..."
A few points here:
1) why would someone think that someone abandoned that stuff, especially when it's clearly at the same site as a pricey grill and fire pit?
2) why would they not take the pricey grill and fire pit?
3) why would anyone want to use someone else's stinky slinky?!
4) where is their stinky slinky and hose?!
Anyway I got my stuff back and I think he hadn't actually used it to flush his tanks with, at least that is what I told my wife lol. While I'd like to say I'll never leave stuff again for the day, it is a pain to pack everything up when venturing out for the day... Has anyone else had an experience like this? What are your thoughts on leaving stuff for the day?

I know where shelter cove is, the black sand beach etc, but where is “Shelter Cove RV Park“? South end of the runway?

If you set it at 25 posts per page it’s only 5 pages....
