Storage ideas Southern California

My DH and I are full-timers and will need to store our 5th Wheel and possibly our truck while we travel overseas for a month. We will be near San Diego before we leave. Does anyone have a personal recommendation? Since this is the first time we have ever "stored" all of our possessions and home, we would love some advice on that too!

Try the KOA in Chula Vista. When I was there earlier this year they had some RV's in a temporary area...not there main storage. It is only 6-8 miles from the port or about 10 to the airport. We were there for a month and it seemed to be very safe and well cared for with 24 hour security and a locked access gate at night.

You might check with Santee Lakes Regional Park ... they have a storage facility.

I worked at KOA Chula Vista for over three years. One of my jobs was security and I was the one that let out the guard dogs. It is as secure as you can get in that area and better than others there. An employee is there 24/7 and dogs loose in the storage areas at night. Fences are alarmed and main gate closed at night. Short term we used to put in an overflow area outside the main storage yards but, as said, there is someone there all night roaming. Good people that take care of business,,
