Storing Soft Water Tank

Looking for others using a portable soft water tank. We have the On The Go water softener tank and need to store it for the winter months.

Does the water softener have to be back-flushed, and regenerated B4 Storing for the winter?
Can it just be drained and then do the regeneration in the Spring?

Yes have all that was just looking for some personal experiences but thanks for your response.

I did also reach out to the seller and was told it is important to maintain the
the life of the resin.

The sellers response
it will help extended the life of the resin. It says to do the regeneration process before storage so the unit does not sit loaded up with hardness ions.

Having owned/used an On The Go softener since 2008 (7 yrs FT) I followed the MFGs instructions for use/storage and it worked
Hence the link to MFGs guide

Sorry MFGs info wasn't what you wanted.

On The Go instructions lacking information

I just purchased a On The Go standard DI tank and find their instructions lacking. Maybe I'm missing something but can't find anywhere on their website recommendations if it is okay to store the tank on it's side when we travel and also if the tank should be drained.

Storing Soft Water Tank

It can be stored on its side but should be bumped a couple times to settle the resin in the vertical state before using.
Draining is optional if only short term storage.
