One year we were at St. Augustine FL, there is a public beach that allows vehicles. A Diesel pusher was stuck, the man who towed it out charged $300 just to hook on to a vehicle, then it got expensive- depending on the vehicle stuck. He had a deuce and a half wrecker body Army truck.

I didn't understand why the plan wasn't to just keep going all the way out the first time. Thats one sweet rig I'll switch problems with him anytime .

I watched it a couple of times. I think that was the plan but for some reason the wheels turned the weight shifted and it sunk again worse than before.

I can't even imagine what they were thinking, but then I've never gotten the urge of driving on the beach. Many of Washington's beaches are state highways and I wish they would do away with that. Not good for the beachcombers, not good for the clams. Not good for the vehicles. I've never taken a vehicle onto the beach.

Most roadside towing will not cover you if you are more than 100-150 feet off of an established road. This guy was way out there so it was on his own dime

just remember, before calling the tow, let the air out of your tires

Won't the tow operator get mad when he sees an RV with 6 or 8 flat tires ?

You don't let it all out. The wider foot print helps get you up on top.
I used to work at a shop 20 minutes from Assateague. The salt in the sand just ate the local trucks within just a few years. Chevy brake lines especially but everything else on all brands up to and including frames. I stayed off the beach unless on foot.

A million dollar, 50,000 + pound luxury coach on a sandy beach...sounds reasonable to me.
