switching out a bed from queen to king

Hi all,
Just wondering if it is possible to switch out a queen size bed to a king and what that entails. We have opposing slideouts in the bed room so lots of room.

What about when the slides are in, will it fit? I've pondered the same thing, but my passenger slide out would run into a King sized mattress, asking for problems! What coach?

Not a great deal of work, I just used the plywood that was there and re-arrainged the platform to match the matress.I did need to purchase a little more ply but no big issue. New mattress is longer but does not become an issue.

All things are possible but could be very expensive depending on your particular floor plan. I have two opposing slides in my mh with a queen. The head fits quite tightly in the passenger slide, now way to expand it. When both slides are closed the foot slips under cabinets, and against the slide wall. So in my case not likely I could do a swap.

Would you even have room to construct a bigger platform for the large mattress?

A queen and a king can be the same length or many different lengths. I'm 75 inches tall, a RV 74" mattress won't do. We'll probably drop down to a 60X80 queen so we can add small bedside tables.
The dog doesn't need that much room.
