If you going to the Super Show 1/16-20 and you are coming from the East on I-4 at exit 14, on the left side Bates RV has 7 old Airstream trailers standing on end growing out of the ground. Just like the Cadiliac Ranch in Texas.
Last year they had plywood cows in this field anything to get you to slow down and look.

Seth,
The show is advertised as the largest in the USA. I have gone for quite a few years. I can tell you the new coach display area and after market area are huge. The new coach display has has over 100 Brands and covers a lot of land. Bring good walking shoes. There is plenty of room to look at the coaches. There is everything from the multimillion dollar to pop up trailers on display. If you come, get a pass for every day, you'll need it. Also, come with empty suit cases. The after market buildings (2) have hundreds of vendors. They are selling a variety of merchandise you didn't know you needed until you saw it.

Locals are really ticked off over what they call junk. Bates RV claims that it is ART
Someone has already started spray painting the trailers, Bates RV have workers out removing paint.
One trailer was on fire already just before going into ground. Claimed it was accident by worker with torch.
Oh by the way I'm staying right behind the field where the ART is.
DW said my eyesite is going.

If you go to the Tamap RV show, you can also visit Lazy Days which has more RVs on display than the entire show and is only a mile or so down the road from the fairgrounds. And Bates, Longview and other dealers are also close by.

At any given moment Lazy Days has 1000-1200 new and used RVs on their lot.

As of Yesterday Lazy Days is still coming to the Tampa Show. So you get the best of both worlds in one place.
Super Show has about twice the number of RV's and brands that Lazy Days doesn't sell, plus venders.

Are you suggesting the the Tampa show has 2000+ RVs on display? I've been there and I'm more than a bit skeptical of that! There are 110 manufacturers with displays and that would mean each and every one would have to bring 20 rigs - and some of those 110 are accessory and component manufacturers, e.g. Cummins, Freightliner, etc.

You will, however, see brands that LD does not sell (though the nearby Longview & Bates stores probably do sell them).

FRVTA states over 1300 RVs on display.

There are a lot of RVs there, but I'll take their word on the count.

If you're looking for a new RV then the show is great for variety but if you're interested in goodies then we were very disappointed in the offerings. We felt the majority of the vendors were campground memberships and info but not products. Just our humble opinion.

Savannah, did you see both vendor buildings?

I agree that the vendor building near the MLK BLVD. entrance does seem to have mostly campground vendors.

Savannah,
My view is different. I spend quite a bit of $s (over $1K every year) at the after market booths each year. For me there is considerable variety. The after market locations are not only in the two buildings, but sprinkled throughout the new coach display area.
