Subject: Tax
Tax his cow, tax his goat;
Tax his pants, tax his coat.
Tax his crop, tax his work;
Tax his ties, tax his shirt.
Tax his chew, tax his smoke;
Teach him taxing is no joke.
Tax his tractor, tax his mule;
Tell him, "Taxing is the rule."
Tax his oil, tax his gas;
Tax his notes, tax his cash.
Tax him good and let him know
That after taxes, he has no dough.
If he hollers, tax him more;
Tax him 'till he's good and sore.
Tax his coffin, tax his grave,
Tax the sod 'neath which he's laid.
Put these words upon his tomb:
"Taxes drove him to his doom."
After he's gone, we won't relax;
We'll still collect inheritance tax.
today's THOUGHT===============================
A fine is a tax for doing wrong. A tax is a fine for doing well.

You've just described life in Oklahoma. These idiots even tax you extra if your license tag expires in the winter while the rv is in storage and you haven't renewed.

That's not a tax, that's a fine for not paying on time. Sounds just like Cal. They've been studying our system!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm, I bet they even have the audacity to impose a fine for failing to bring a library book back on time.
My 2-YO Suncruiser had a plate tab of $1900. But my house taxes are under $600. I pay them all on time or suffer the consequences.

Another perspective:
It is all about NEED.
The more government that we need,
the more taxes are needed to do it.
Often the needed taxes outlive the original need for which they are put into place.
