We saw this one last summer in Yellowstone, just north of Fishing Bridge. It had an Elk kill it kept coming back to munch on. The Elk is from Yellowstone's north end visitor parking lot.

The mule is from the Fort and petting area on the way into Zion. Thought he was pretty funny looking.

We were up at Mammoth two weeks ago and our adult kids saw a bear at Lake Mary on our last day....we were getting fuel.

DW and I were in the Kalkaska, MI area a couple weeks ago where my nephew reported seeing bears along the road on his way to Traverse City, MI.

Unfortunately, we did not have any bear sightings.

We've spent a lot of time in the Traverse City area & yes, there are bears there. Sleeping Bears in the Dunes.

When went thru Mammoth after July 2nd opening, we had seen around 15 Elk outside the Justice Center there. The Elk was just standing or lying around in the shade. The Ranger had to stand there and make people stay away from the Elk. Some would try to walk within several yards to get photos, like they never heard of telephoto lens.

Speaking of Michigan. If your near the U.P, go to Oswalds Bear ranch. Dozens and dozens of bears behind fencing. You can buy apples and throw them to the bears. Then also take a picture with a cub or two and touch them. All the bears are pretty close up.

Something you can do for a couple hours and support a good cause.
