When we winter if FL, sun is a problem, depending on how the site is laid-out. I use static-cling on my double-pane windows-but on the outside. I simply clean the outside of the windows, after I've washed the "winter roads" off the coach, then apply the sheets of cling-tint.
I made a sheet for when driving, the same window as you have, I only use it though if the majority of the days driving is N. or S. I also have a sheet for the passenger side top window. I think the cling-tint is about 5 yrs old now, the trick is to not roll it up tight or it will develop a "set" that makes it hard to apply and stay there.
