Nope! This online towing weight calculator gospel. It removes all the chest-thumping and outright lies(salespeople) from the equations.

For your #3: During our full-timing years we've met many who full-timed in a tiny trailer - a Casita-type and even cargo vans. One even had a bidet in the cargo van. Here's a full-timer's blog on the one she's in now. She volunteered and workkamped in national parks and others.

.... or perhaps he had the truck first and just wanted a small trailer.

There's nothing wrong in how people RV. If they're happy, so be it. Why criticize them?

That's probably true of folks that don't or only lightly research the product there buying. I would bet that the majority of RVers on this forum that have been here awhile, don't follow that path.

I have noticed the tendency of people who RV to have fun on the journey and at the destination. Maybe that is why so many people love to RV.

The thing I notice about RVing is that some want and can afford the biggest and most expensive rigs out there.

But then someone always comes along with something bigger and better and more expensive.

It's a game. You can't win.

LOL. Fortunately I'm somewhat of a minimalist in this area. But for the wife I'd have a smaller trailer! For one thing I'd be okay with a wet bath--her not. And fortunately she's perfectly happy with what we have.

I have noticed that there seem to be a lot more people on the forums who have never owned an RV before, yet are selling everything they own to go full time.
