Texas to Florida
I drove from Florida to Texas two years ago and there was a stretch of road that was terrible. It shook my rv even if I slowed down. It was like going over speed bumps every 10’. I believe it was a raised hwy. I can’t remember the name of the Hwy. I told myself to never go back this way. What is the worse road from Texas to Florida? And what is the best way to get there
Thanks

Called I10. Depends on where you live in Texas. I normally cut over on I20. Pick it up in Jackson, Mississippi, then drop down to Mobile, Alabama to get on I10.

The bad stretch of I10 is between Beaumont and the Louisiana border, specifically around Vidor. They have been working on that stretch of highway for 25 years. West bound is almost complete but someone is making a career out of the east bound.
Assuming you’re coming from Central Texas or more south, you don’t have many choices unless you don’t mind adding substantial miles to your trip. Routes to use are limited. Other routes take you thru a lot of small towns and roads.

I just figured it out. I went back to my pictures where I took a video of how bad the road was. It was Livonia LA. Out of Baton Rouge going west on hwy 190. Never again.
Any other roads I should stay clear of from Dallas to fort Meyers?

From Dallas, I 20 east to Jackson MS.
Then down U.S. 49 and U.S. 98 to Mobile to pick up I 10.

I-20 through Shreveport is horrible and will beat you to death. You can take the bypass/loop to the north, and it is better, but not the best.
