The end of the RV-Plus Program at Pilot-FlyingJ

I just got an email from Pilot/FlyingJ stating that they're discontinuing their RV discount program on November 1st. This used to a Good Sam Club benefit. The last time we used Pilot/Flying J (this past June), our fuel cards didn't work at the pump. I had to go inside, found out that they routinely turn off card access if you didn't use your card within the past 30 days plus they can no longer be used at the pump! I had to call PFJ, stay on hold for 20 minutes, get the card reactivated, then go back inside, wait in line, and get them to turn on our pump. There's an incorrect link to finding out what they're gonna do now (it leaves out the "J" in the link). It consists of "points" with no information on what you would use them for. It appears pretty obvious that Berkshire Hathaway no longer want RVs. Thank you, Warren.

I have yet to receive any such notification. I also checked my Aug. 16 statement no mention of a discontinuance there either.

If Berkshire Hathaway sells Forest River you'll be seen as a profit, errr, "prophet".

It's all about the money. You never get wealthy if you stay emotionally attached to a business and RV's ain't making anyone a lot of money nowadays.

I'd say it has more to do with Marcus and his money. CW has been sliding downhill in sales of RV's and service. That affects HIS bottom line.

Just so I understand I cannot get a fuel discount from FJ anymore using the Good Sam card? If so then I will be going to Love's more being I can get 10 cents off using their app.

Had my , card rejected for none use , and meant to phone about it when I got home . Then I thought every time I used it , after leaving the station I found lower prices elsewhere ; particularly at Native gas stations where C/C was the same as cash .

Only on one segment of my usual route was a Native station out of range and I would only use PFJ card for $150/200 to insure I'd make the next stop.

So I'm guessing there'll be one less piece of plastic in my wallet .

Had my card refused because it hadn't been used in the last 30 days. I have been getting eMails offering 10 cents off a gallon for the next 30 days. Guess I'll let the card go by the wayside

I haven't heard anything. My card has always worked at the pump getting the .10/gal off all summer, just as recently as a month ago. Not uncommon for me to go more than 30 days between uses and all still works fine. My renewal is do next month, guess Ill check into this news beforehand.

We have the FJ/GS debit card. We used to get 16 cents off on Diesel. Our last trip my card was deactivated yet my wife's was not. Only got 6 cents off. Pilot/FJ is our last resort. We use the TSD for 99% of our diesel purchases.

I sure hope they go back to the TSD.

My card stopped working, I’m sure for non-use, and I kept meaning to give them a call. I guess now I know why. We had very limited travel the last two years due to illness effecting both in-laws. So, that explains the no use. But I’ve never received any emails from them about anything. We’re heading out next week on our first longer trip since 2020. (Both in-laws passed within 2 weeks of each other)

I use Verizon for my cell service and Verizon has a credit card that gives you 4 % off at the pump, it doesn’t work at Pilot as you have to swipe the card. It’s amazing a Pilot station near my house on exit 364 the Pilot station the diesel is $4.15 credit and just across the road at Sheetz diesel is $2.99 credit.
