We have been into vintage travel trailer for years, and I now restore them as a hobby, we now have a 1955 Crown Canned ham trailer, a 1965 Scad-A-Bout Teardrop trailer and my current project is a 1966 Aristocrat Lo Liner, and once the trailer restoration is complete I will sell it and start a new one, I only by trailer from the 50's to 1966.
Vintage is great, we just bought the 83 Pace Arrow, so even that can be considered vintage for motor-homes I guess.

We may smile at all this for now - but the handwriting is already on the wall, and if world conditions and control of energy continues as at present, our past and current large RV's my be FORCED to go the way of the dinosaur - and there may well be a tent in YOUR future!
NOT intended as a "political" post - just a burst of reality...

Compared to the campgrounds we are used to in the South East... ALL the campgrounds out here that we have seen look like parking lots or gravel yards! There just aren't alot of trees here in the desert. We are in the Rio Grande Valley but I believe it is still a desert, is it not? We came out last summer. We have since adjusted our definition of what a campground is supposed to look like. Although I'm sure (hoping) that not all of NM looks like the area we are in right now. But I know Albuquerque does! It's only an hour away!
