It did come out nice. I am no expert on the structure of a bus but I did question at 7:35 in the video when he cut two roof supports for the big window why he didn't make a header supported by the remaining supports on either side like you would do in a house. Also I wonder if those floating shelves will hold up to road travel the way they are simply screwed in. In a stick house we do them with wide flat steel bar notched into the framing with steel tubing welded on for the shelf to sit on.

They certainly didn’t worry about weight. I wonder what the before/after is. Also, I didn’t see any grey/black tanks. I must have missed it.

yep i noticed that. the guy is very talented tough, what a job. very ingenious how they positioned the sheet metal on the sides. weight would have been interesting. you would have had to deduct the weight of all the seats and other stuff he ripped out of the inside.

It turned out nice, but no thanks. I did a completed rebuild like this on a boat in my younger days. OMG, you don’t know what you’ve got yourself into until a job like this. Feels like it will never end. I was conscious about weight savings and ended up costing more than if I would just purchased a ready to go one. Never again! The only saving grace is that the Coast Guard liked it and purchased it from me.

As for the weight, I would suspect the end product is quite a bit less than it was with the original seats filled with 72 passengers.
