Thor G36 vs.Tiffin Allegro Red 333aa
Looking into a new coach for my folks. They can’t decide what they want and have looked at a Thor Venetian G36 and a Tiffin Alegro Res 33aa. What are your thoughts on the two. And which would you purchase and why. This will help make the decision. They love the layout of the Venetian and the 400hp motor. But not heard much about them. However Tiffin has a great reputation and the Alegro Red 33aa is a very nice coach. Thank you for your help.

I would choose this one on reputation. Thor's rep is not all that good and Tiffin's is that good. Having owned a Thor product I can say the Thor had a wonderful layout and it served us many years but the quality of the one we had was not to great. The Tiffin Allegro that we owned had a very poor layout and also served us ok for a short while (actually it was built well but we hated the layout and didn't keep it long). In our case we kept the One not made well longer than the one that was made well based on Layout alone. I know this isn't much help but If they really like both I'd probably go with the family owned Tiffin Product.

I agree. Tiffin enjoys a good reputation.
Check out “The RV Show USA” on YouTube, and watch the segment with the RV lemon law lawyer. He specifically mentions issues with Thor Industries.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
I would go with the Tiffin. I read a lot of bad comments about Thor!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

I would go Tiffin as well. I've read many good things about Tiffin...not just service during warranty, but also well after...things they didn't have to do, but did anyway to help a client. Most I have read about Thor is the opposite.

As a 2 time Thor owner (both Gas Class A's) I would say defiantly go with the Tiiffin. Thor's quality is crap. Unless you just love fixing problems yourself, its probably not a good choice.

Welcome. I am probably a bit biased and would obviously go Tiffin. We love our new Tiffin and so far no problems at all with it.

Welcome to the Forum!
I actually have a Thor Quantum and in the last 18 months, no real issues, only minor things and mostly cosmetic.
I don't have a Tiffin, but I have read a lot about problems with them......
Anything mechanical that is assembled by humans will have issues.

The only place Thor is ahead of Tiffin is in the phone book...

I know someone with the Tiffin. He has had alot of problems with the front cap separating you may want to see if they are past that issue.
