Thoughts on my changes to TT
Hey Guys, I was thinking about taking out the two small closets on each side of our bed and putting in a full queen sideways. Any help upfront as to possible problems that I might run into. This change would allow a full queen and a little more floor space to move around. There is an outlet on each closet wall beside the bed.

Other than rerouting or removing the outlets, it seems a straight-forward mod. It's your RV, so whatever makes you happy is good.

Same wall covering inside the cabinets?
I'd look pretty hard at how the overhead cabinets are attached once you remove the ones below. They might be the majority of the support.

So it will become necessary to crawl over somebody to get out of the queen bed?

My advice for modifications to just about anything (RVs, boats, houses, etc) is to use them for awhile before making any changes. That way you don't end up regretting something down the road.
Since you asked for thoughts about your specific upgrade, personally it would not be my first choice to have a large bed, like a queen, with three sides against a wall. Harder to access/exit if you are on the inside and harder to make up. But, it is doable and sometimes other considerations override first choices. It really comes down to what you will enjoy (and how many times someone has to get up to use the loo -- Hahaha).

if you've ever had a corner bed in ANY camper, and know how miserable it is to crawl over each other getting in and out of bed, you'll never do what you are proposing. We were young married and still in those "hot to trot" days of our relationship (If you know what I mean). We thought it was pretty funny, and fun, crawling over each other, teasing, and ... well ... you know. But REALLY, when waking up in the middle of the night for a bathroom run, or to let the dog out to potty, and crawling over each other to get out and then back in again, even two rabbits in love get tired of being disturbed when you are woken from a sound sleep after an exhausting day!

You may want to think twice before turning the mattress from north-south to east-west orientation. You must never have had an RV with a corner bed, or a bed that runs east to west. It's not fun, after a while. And the older you are, the quicker the fun goes away.
Before you physically change anything, you should try only using one side of the bed to get out of for a few weeks, then decide if you still want to go that route.

Excellent idea! Test drive first. Also, think about re-sale. Most would want a bed that can be accessed from both sides. Plus, they'd want the closets - even if they're small. Travel trailers don't have much storage to begin with so every nook and cranny counts.
