Throttle Linkage Sticking

It's below freezing up here in the Okanogan mountains & the throttle sticks enough that the spring won't pull it back to idle. I can pull it by hand. Does anyone know of a lubricant that would go 30 something feet if I apply it up front? I won't mess with it until spring when working conditions improve.

If the throttle cable is sticking because of the freezing temperatures, try some lock de-icer or some gas line anti freeze. Should solve it.
