You do have to use a little common sense when you do things. I forget most RV’s have propane unlike a lot of the bigger Class A’s have hydronic heat and residential refrigerators. I agree if you have propane in your rig it would probably be best to shut the gas off while doing this. As for as the batteries I honestly doubt they are a concern. If that were the case you would never want to use one in your home with all the electric circuits. Electrical circuits batteries included would only be a hazard if you had an arc of electricity. I’m not going into more detail as it really doesn’t pertain to this post.

Bug bombs
Yes, I should have explained a bit more. I suggested disconnecting the batteries before using the bug bomb because the they can create an explosive atmosphere in the RV.
Others complained that this was overkill, and the point is to avoid anything that might spark, like a furnace starter, old-style thermostats.
It also prevents "numb nuts" moments, like coming in and turning on an exhaust fan.
I don't know if this might trigger a propane alarm, but that would be annoying, huh?
As for the hazard, just Google "bug bomb explosion".

When using a bug bomb you need to thoroughly wash EVERYTHING. If it kills bugs you know residue is on all your surfaces. Too much trouble!

To the OP. To truly determine what the bugs are. Mail a few of them to your State Extension Service office.

Tiny Beetles
They might be warehouse or larder beetles. Google these names and look at the images. I had these in a bag of milkbones and they decimated them. They are dark tan and black with dark spots. Hard to see spots without magnification.

I took a quick snappy of this bug here. It's as big as a murder hornet, but the color is wrong. Buzzes like it's got cards in all the spokes. Click for full-size. Any clues?
