Tire Change Out

Replacing all 6 tires on motorhome. I would like to keep 2 tires DOT 05 year as spare. Is this advisable?

That's exactly what I did. The old tire should be good enough to get you to the next place where you could replace the tire that went bad. However keep in mind that the old tire could go south at any time also, which could do fiberglass damage to the coach. I keep the old tire as a spare when I'm traveling, just in case I'm in a one horse town that has to order a new tire that could take as much as three days or more.

Unless you have an extra 200-300$+ to spend on a brand new spare,,, I wouldn't worry a second about it... I used our spare on the trip home when we bought the mh,, it was original to the 95 MH,, never been used,, but it did just fine, (stored in a covered rack on the back) and bought a new set a week later... Like okie-dokie said,, just use it to get you to a good place to repair/replace the newer tire...
Monkey

Guess I might add use it as a spare IF it's not weather/age cracked very bad)
